Tower Rock Lodge Fishing in Alaska Photo Album

EXCLUSIVE!

YES FOLKS, this is the genuine article. One of the rare photos of our longtime Alaskan and resident of Soldotna, Les Anderson (in orange rain suit) admiring his catch while a friend holds it up for photos. This picture was taken in the early afternoon and after the fish had been officially weighed on a certified scales at Echo Lake Meat Lockers. The official weight in the record books is 97 pounds 4 ounces. The fish was not weighed until several hours after it was caught and Fish & Game estimates that due to evaporative weight loss, the fish may have broken the hundred pound mark if it had been weighed promptly after being caught.

Every year we suspect that a potential new world record may run up the river as there are fish hooked that are so large and incredibly strong that they have never been landed. Should one of our guests land the next world record, there won't be any problem getting the fish promptly weighed, witnessed and certified. Tower Rock Lodge has the only IGFA Field Representative on the Kenai Peninsula and our scales are certified each spring to insure we meet all world record requirements.

P.S. If you would like to see Les's world record king in person when you get to Alaska, the fish mount is on display at the Soldotna Visitor Center next to the Soldotna Bridge.

Testimonial - (not pictured angler) "My company and I have been using Tower Rock Lodge as our corporate lodge of choice for an 'Alaskan Adventure' for seven years. Mike & Mark Tuhy, and the Tower Rock Lodge staff are a credit to the sport fishing industry. Not only do they provide a tremendous fishing experience, but they treat everyone with the utmost respect and serve us well. In addition, their knowledge of the Kenai fishery is second to none. They have excellent equipment from boats to rods to terminal gear. They provide instruction in fishing and safety."

" Their lodge is the nicest on the river and is managed as well as any I've seen anywhere in the country. Mike, Mark and all of their guides adhere to all of the Kenai policies and encourage catch and release even when it is not a guideline. They also adhere to the IGFA programs and are active in supporting the IGFA. Their knowledge and experience of the entire peninsula and all three parts of the Kenai (upper, middle and lower river) is unsurpassed."

"Obviously I am a big supporter of the Tower Rock Lodge. Having fished all over the country and spent much time at other lodges, this is by far the best lodge in my opinion."
