TOWER ROCK LODGE PACKING LIST

Airlines allow two (2) checked bags not to exceed 50 lbs. each; plus one (1) carry-on and a computer bag. We suggest you plan on checking one (1) bag for the arrival to Tower Rock Lodge so that you can fly home with a box of fish as your second checked bag!

WHAT TO BRING
Changes of clothes... plan to layer clothing. Our summers are are often long and sunny, sometimes 20 hours of daylight, with average temperatures in the mid to upper 60's --cool mornings and temperate evenings. It is cooler from mid-August to the end of September...a wool shirt and socks are always good. Late in the season throw in an extra jacket!

Tennis or boat shoes - plan to spend a lot of time on the water! Throw in a pair of hiking boots if you intend to do a little bushwhacking.

Light rain gear just might come in handy anytime that you are in Alaska. The Kenai Peninsula averages about 2 inches per month during the summer. Often our guests like to pack a light set of raingear (golf-like). However, we do offer a pretty good inventory at the lodge if need be. And the one thing about Alaska weather that you can be sure of ... is that it's unpredictable.

Small day pack or tote bag can come in handy to stow gear for the excursions away from the lodge ie., halibut, fly-outs, Kasilof drift boat fishing, Homer, etc...

Camera/ baseball cap/ personal items (we have some great convenience stores close by for liquor, cigars and anything that you forgot!)

We provide insect repellant (although seldom needed), neoprene and breathable waders.... superb meals .. lunches to go; private, comfortable rooms with a view, Internet and e-mail access. In fact, Tower Rock has many of the amenities that you would expect in a fine hotel...so you can catch fish so big you don't have to lie about 'em!
